COOEE BUNJI IS A GRASS ROOTS ORGANISATION WHERE CULTURE IS RESPECTED AND CELEBRATED. WE DELIVER PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO ABORIGINAL PEOPLE, FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE. WE ARE ATTUNED TO THE STOLEN GENERATION SURVIVORS AND THEIR DESCENDANTS, AND WE STAND WITH YOU.
MISSION STATEMENT
You, matter to us, you are welcome. Together as one always, Wominjeka MOB…. Means family, family means no one is forgotten or left behind. (Solidarity) Our Founder and now CEO Sherri Lyle, had a dream. A dream that no one in community be left behind. No one should feel alone, we are together as one, always. Working hard and building support networks and relationships is the foundation of Cooee Bunji, to welcome and enhance support for people and the community.
OUR MISSION : Through Cooee Bunji, it is our Mission to welcome and provide assistance in the best way possible. We will do this as a Community, through suitably qualified people – our way. We will ensure service delivery is inclusive of the needs of the person. We aim to empower people through self-determination. Empowering the person, empowers the community. Cultural safety is the holistic embodiment that guides us, moving in the opposite spirit to the removal of our children, continued racism, poverty, family violence, mental health, homelessness crisis and disadvantage in general.
